Welcome to GMT’s New Website

Welcome to GMT’s New Website

Our new website is full of educational resources including training videos, composting facility illustrations, overviews for various industry types and many new case studies. Our goal is to empower and inspire more organizations to harness the economic and environmental benefits of advanced composting technology.

Over GMT’s 32 years designing and building commercial composting facilities, we’ve learned a lot through continuous process improvement. Our new website aims to distill everything we’ve learned into educational and inspirational content that shows the full spectrum of the most advanced commercial composting processes and technologies available.

Our Facility Design section of the website shows detailed summaries of the primary proven processes and technologies for all types of commercial composting facilities, from small community composting sites and in-vessel systems up to the largest industrial facilities.

The Cut Sheets page features detailed information about each of the composting equipment types and facility designs that we offer.

Our In Vessel Composting section gives a detailed overview of GMT’s Earth Flow, CompTainer and CompoBox Tunnel composting systems, which are industry-leading platforms for automated odor-controlled composting.

The Compost Covers section shows new fabric compost cover systems now available through our partnership with Compost Systems. Our PFAS-free fleece covers and geomembrane covers offer two effective and economical solutions to preventing odors and managing moisture content of ASP composting facilities.

The Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) page introduces a relatively new concept to the N. American market, which has become a standard practice in Europe.

GMT’s partnership with Compost Systems GmbH of Austria is now bringing the MBT process to municipal and industrial facilities across North America. MBT is an aerobic composting process to treat mixed municipal solid waste to aerobically compost the organics portion before the material is sorted into recyclable components. This dramatically reduces landfill volumes, eliminates methane greenhouse gas emissions from the material and enables sorting of the other recyclable contents.”

Green Mountain Technologies is grateful for the many staff members and others who contributed to the design and development of our new website, especially Destiny Hollis of the The Pixel Pantry, our webmaster. Special thanks go out to Sam Krakur who developed our new illustrations, Marika Rundle our lead graphic designer and Gaelan Brown who led the site architecture and compiled the new content.
