Our team is leading an intensive all day food waste composting workshop, presenting on commercial facility design and permitting, presenting at the Community Composting half-day workshop, and will be at booth #213 in the trade show area.

On Tuesday February 6th, GMT will lead an intensive all day workshop covering all aspects of food waste composting at commercial scale facilities. View the Food Waste Composting Workshop Agenda. The Food Waste workshop at Compost 2024 requires pre-registration.

This deep dive workshop is being led by Michael Bryan-Brown, GMT’s Founder; Rik Langendoen, GMT’s Director of Environmental Services; and Aurel Lubke, Founder of GMT’s partner Compost System GmbH of Austria.

Also on Tuesday, February 6, GMT’s Betsy LaForce is presenting at a half-day workshop from 1-4:30 pm, sponsored by the Institute for Local Self Reliance. Community Composting Systems: New Projects and Scaling Up Existing Projects. This workshop will feature community composting leaders from across the US along with a focus on composting technologies for farm and community settings. Small scale technologies featured will include DIY solar-powered ASP systems and in-vessel composters such as GMT’s Earth Flow. On Wednesday, February 7, GMT’s Rik Langendoen will be presenting at the 8AM Concurrent Session 1B, “Composting Infrastructure.” Rik’s presentation focuses on the “strategic collaboration to streamline the permitting process,” with a case study about the new Brady Trucking food waste composting facility.

Rik will be joined on this panel by Greg McCarron of SCS Engineers and Kristine Ellsworth of NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
