Client’s Requirements
Olympic Organics, previously Emu Topsoils and currently DTG Recycling, has been composting food and yard waste in Hansville, WA since 2008. GMT was hired by Olympic Organics to improve the original Pipe on Grade facility design and add a modern controls platform to the site. After being acquired in 2023 by DTG, GMT was again hired to bring the facility into compliance, designing an enclosed receiving building and further improving facility layout.
Our Solution
GMT installed a 7-zone WebMACS controller for the composting facility and wireless temperature probes. WebMACS integrated seamlessly into the existing pipe on grade system, replacing the cycle timers, and connecting directly to the existing motor contactors. Once WebMACS was installed it began taking temperature samples, plotting them, and broadcasting the data to anyone with access to the secure online portal.
