“Tyler and I started Dirt Hugger in 2010 and have bootstrapped the company into a 90,000 ton per year organics recycling business today with 23 employees. Dirt Hugger has been working with Green Mountain Technologies since 2013 and they have been an integral part of our success. In 2014 Dirt Hugger was forced to relocate and had to start from scratch on a new site. We hired GMT to guide us through the permitting, design and construction of the project. They helped us with the site master plan and traffic routing to make sure our overall operations would be as efficient as possible. Oklahoma outlines the approved means of destruction for the cannabis plant, with options like incineration or burning. Composting was a no brainer. Without the Earth Flow in-vessel composting system our business would look much different because the in-vessel allows us to operate indoors. Our facility is located only 4 miles from downtown Oklahoma City. This would not be possible using a Windrow or Static for permitting, cost, and environmental reasons.
