Colorado State University: Earth Flow Composter

“We’ve been nothing but ecstatic with the relationship. You guys have been awesome with helping us out.”
Tim Broderick, Sustainability Coordinator with Housing and Dining Services

Colorado State University (CSU) uses an EF-30 In-Vessel Earth Flow composting system to compost about 1 ton of food waste and horse bedding per day.

The Earth Flow composter at CSU serves as a living laboratory for students and staff as a part of Soil & Crop Sciences program. One recent CSU graduate used their experience working with the Earth Flow composter to help them secure a job at a winery in California. The employer indicated that the hands-on composting experience was key to their selection for the position.
