Aerated Static Piles (ASP)
Aerated Static Pile composting is a simple and efficient way to compost challenging feedstocks like food waste, biosolids, and manures. Well-designed aerated composting systems manage the oxygen and temperature levels in the piles to speed up the process while reducing material handling costs and controlling odors. We offer a variety of ASP systems for the full spectrum of composting facilities and budgets.
Turned Aerated Pile (TAP)
Turned Aerated Piles (TAP) are the fastest way to achieve large scale composting. Advanced aeration combined with specialized turning equipment increases material handling speeds by roughly 10 times and homogenizes material, resulting in a faster more efficient process.
Tunnel System
The CompoBox™ Tunnel System is a completely enclosed Aerated Static Pile composting system, with all emissions captured and treated in a biofilter or geomembrane cover. Automated irrigation and hydraulic doors simplify operations and speed up the composting process.

Earth Flow
The Earth Flow™ composting system is an award-winning automated compost mixing and aeration system built into a 20ft or 40ft shipping container or a larger site built vessel, proven for over 15 years to be effective, long-lasting, and easy to operate.
Mechanical Biological Treatment
As landfills fill up and become increasingly difficult to permit, many facilities throughout the United States are following in the footsteps of Europe, turning to Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) to recycle and reduce landfill use by as much as 80%.

"I first met Jeff around 1992, when my agency assigned me to find out why a major composting operation in our jurisdiction was creating odors that could be smelled 11 miles away. At that time Jeff was the manager of the LRI facility in Gig Harbor, WA. Jeff took me under his wing and taught me the basics of composting, and how to do it odor free. As the last two decades have gone by, Jeff became the go-to guy in the State of Washington, whenever I needed to learn something about composting not yet covered in the literature. My agency has never had to write a nuisance ticket on ANY of the facilities he was involved with. Lenz Composting, the composting factory at LRI Puyallup, and LRI Gig Harbor facility all have clean records with us. If you have two dozen suddenly deceased cattle to compost, (all in one pile), there is no one else I would trust to do the job. A couple of winters ago Jeff did just that at Lenz Composting, ODOR FREE! I’ve seen it, I’ve smelt it, and my agency has pictures to prove it.”
